He Remembered Us

It is he who remembered us in our low estate,
for his steadfast love endures forever;
Psalm 136: 23

When we were dead in sin and transgressions, He remembered us.

When we were enemies and haters of God, He remembered us.

When we were blood-guilty of great and horrific sin, He remembered us.

When we were utterly weak and unable to save ourselves, He remembered us.

When we were hard-hearted breakers of the law, He remembered us

When we were righteously condemned and destined for wrath, He remembered us.

When we were spiritually blind and lost in darkness, He remembered us.

When we were captive to the desires and lusts of the flesh, He remembered us.

When we were proud workers of our own righteousness, He remembered us.

When we were without hope and without God in the world, He remembered us.

When we were alienated and separated from the life of God, He remembered us.

When we were willing slaves of sin and unrighteousness, He remembered us.

When we were naked and crippled by shame, He remembered us.

When we were strangers and foreigners to his favor, He remembered us.

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Romans 5:8-10

Give thanks to the Lord, for His steadfast love endures forever!
